There are four main steps involved that you need to accomplish: •Verify you have a working internet plan in place with your internet service provider (ISP): without a working internet plan, you won’t have internet access even after setting up your modem router combo •Connect the necessary cables to your device: you need to connect the coaxial and power cables to your device in order to complete the setup process •Register your device with your ISP: you can usually do this with your ISP’s application that lets you manage your bill, configure new modems, etc. •Configure your device’s settings: you’ll need to set a password for your device’s settings, configure security questions for your device, etc. Modem router combination devices are designed for simplicity, and it really shows with how easy they are to set up. It took me about 35 minutes to set up my device, and most of this time was spent waiting for my device to reboot and establish an internet connection.
