Cleveland area weather forecast: Cold and snow continue

Your 11 p.m. Greater Cleveland and Northeast Ohio weather forecast for Jan. 14, 2025: Bitterly cold with wind chills below 0. Just some minor lake effect lingering into Wednesday. Temperatures struggle to even hit 20. Another round of snow will move in for Thursday. Snow will be arriving before sunrise for many locations. Expect some issues with travel through the day and plan on needing extra time. Scattered snow will continue through much of the day. Accumulations of 1-3 inches will be likely for most, locally up to 4 inches Friday will be a nice break! Some sun mixing in with temperatures briefly back above freezing. Enjoy it while you can! Attention then turns toward the weekend. We'll have a huge area of cold, frigid air diving into the northern U.S. this weekend and this will move in behind our next system. We've been tracking this for several days now, but the path of the low continues to fluctuate as expected. For now, we're expecting mainly wet snow to move in Friday night into Saturday with snow showers and windy, cold conditions returning on Sunday. Temperatures will likely be falling through the day on Saturday and snow accumulates. This will be a day for a Weather Impact Alert. Depending on the exact track this system takes, 3-5+ inches could be possible. We'll definitely keep an eye on this one. Bitterly cold air then flows into much of the eastern 2/3 of the United States early next week. Some days we might struggle to even get out of the 0s. With bitterly cold temperatures and relatively lighter winds, ice on Lake Erie will likely expand quickly. Jessica Van Meter has more of your forecast: https://www.wkyc.com/article/weather/...
