Together with Sophia, they reached the fort where the previous Macula Protector had been taken long ago. There, they found it consumed by a disturbing form of devotion. Slavers were carrying out ritual sacrifices, convinced that the Child of Embers would grant them power. Their leader, Milo, sought to secure his place beside the Child and use that influence to bring down the Count. When Milo’s fanaticism escalated, Hugo turned the rats against the cultists, punishing them with his growing power. This left Amicia shaken, painfully aware that the Macula was changing her brother in ways she could no longer ignore. Beneath the fort, in the crypt of an ancient chapel, Amicia uncovered the legacy of Aelia as well as the hidden location of the former Macula Carrier. As the situation spiraled out of control, Milo threatened the de Rune siblings, forcing Sophia to intervene before he could do any more harm. Yet even after that, Hugo disobeyed Amicia once again, surrendering to his anger and unleashing the rats throughout the fort. Only after Sophia firmly confronted them both did the trio pull themselves away, returning to the island map — and to the trail that would lead them deeper into the island’s darkest truths. 🎮 About the game: A Plague Tale: Requiem is a action-adventure stealth game set during the height of the Black Death in 14th-century France.
