Predictions

Making Predictions seems to be of interest to all Christians. Unfortunately, most such predictions made simply do not come true, and the resulting folly of that is something of a scandal. However, the old prophets in the Bible and many saints thereafter have made predictions which have often proven uncannily right on the mark. In this, I draw from some of my own unfortunate experiences with such prophecies during my old-time stint with the Jehovah's Witnesses (1974-1979), grateful to have gotten the "prediction bug" out of my system while still so young and not having discovered the Catholic Faith. Since that time I am very skittish about offering any predictions, though there are some (very few) offered here, based not on some "Divine inner knowledge" but simple scholarship, familiarity with Church doctrines, and my taking these doctrines seriously as someone who truly believes them.
