Here's what I have been working on, a full SL1 no Roll/Block/Parry Flawless run. This was a ton of fun to go for, and probably my greatest gaming achievement to date. I want to thank @UnholyPancake for providing a guide and lots of help for the run, as well as encouraging me to go for it in the first place. The hardest bosses in this run were 5. Halflight, Spear of the Church, 4. Twin Princes, 3. Demon Prince, 2. Slave Knight Gael, and 1. Soul of Cinder. Halflight, while not super bad was just boring and tilting, and a super unfun fight in general. His homing soulmass is stupid, the 2nd guardian takes a bit of RNG to kill, and missing the first backstab after listening to Argo dialogue was devastating. It was very easy compared to rest of the top 5 though. Twin Princes is a terrible boss for no roll because they are impossible without the use of a loop. This loop took me a long time to learn, and I was shaking by the end of the kill. The opener for both p1 and p2 is complete RNG too (this was written before fully consistent opener strats were developed), so you can just lose an attempt if you're unlucky and you can't do anything about it. Not a fun boss by any means, but it felt good getting the loop consistent. Demon Prince was a tier above Twin Princes on the difficulty podium, but I think that is mainly due to my skill issue when it comes to Demon Prince. I genuinely believed that I was never going to be able to beat the boss, and it took me 3 days of grinding to squeak a kill out. I think using claw grip would have been better for this fight, but I was stubborn and didn't use it. The trick to the fight is looping him at the start of p2 for stagger and bleed damage, and going off of that. It was really challenging for me, Demon Prince always grows on me though so I enjoyed the fight overall. Next is Gael, another boss I extremely struggled with. I fought this guy for four days straight before killing him. His p1 forced me to learn and use claw grip, and some of the strafes are super hard to pull off. It's really rewarding to beat though. Unfortunately my p1 in the kill I got is pretty subpar, which is disappointing since I have gotten much better ones before it. It is what is it. P2 really messed me up too. It's a very simple phase except his horizontal cap is a pain in the ass to avoid, and it's easy to get nerves and choke after getting through the occasional p1, which doesn't happen often. My p2 in the kill I got I am also not super happy with since I messed up a bunch of horizontal baits into stabs. I got a cool triple hit spin r1 duck though which I am pleased with. P3 is just p2 with a few changes except there are more stab followups so it is generally faster. I'll do a better, more restricted Gael in the future since he is genuinely fun. An honorable mention for this list is Sister Friede, since she is consistently hyped up to be one of the hardest no roll bosses, but thanks to p2 script strats developed by Pancake, her worst phase is trivialized. I was able to beat her in an hour and a half and only died once in p3. Finally, in the number one spot and by far the hardest boss in the whole run, Soul of Cinder is crazy difficult. You have to learn 4 phases worth of dodges and punishes, the arena sucks, you have to have good reaction time and positioning, it takes a while to learn and get consistent, and he has a phase 2 that is easy to choke. The saving grace of the fight is that he is so squishy. P1 is also made easier if you count hits for staggers. I'm really glad that I only messed up p2 once, as I beat the boss on the second p2 I got. Overall, I am definitely proud of this kill, even though my sword phase in kind of goofy and I whiff a hit in p2 where I could have died. That's it for the run, I'll be doing more DS3 stuff soon. ╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴ 00:00 Iudex Gundyr 01:02 Vordt of the Boreal Valley 02:02 Crystal Sage 03:27 Abyss Watchers 05:16 Deacons of the Deep 06:42 High Lord Wolnir 07:41 Dancer of the Boreal Valley 08:40 Pontiff Sulyvahn 09:29 Yhorm the Giant 11:10 Dragonslayer Armour 11:53 Aldrich, Devourer of Gods 12:54 Oceiros, the Consumed King 13:47 Curse-Rotted Greatwood 14:56 Old Demon King 15:51 Ancient Wyvern 16:44 Champion Gundyr 17:39 Twin Princes 19:27 Nameless King 21:42 Champion's Gravetender and Greatwolf 23:51 Sister Friede 26:42 Demon Prince 29:56 Halflight, Spear of the Church 33:20 Darkeater Midir 36:05 Slave Knight Gael 40:04 Soul of Cinder ╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴╴ Dates bosses were beaten in timestamp order: 7-7-23, 7-7-23, 7-8-23, 7-9-23, 7-13-23, 7-13-23, 7-14-23, 7-15-23, 7-16-23, 7-20-23, 7-21-23, 7-21-23, 7-21-23, 7-21-23, 7-21-23, 7-22-23, 7-25-23, 7-26-23, 7-27-23, 7-28-23, 8-11-23, 8-18-23, 8-19-23, 8-23-23, 9-9-23
