Director, co-writer and editor Trey Edward Shults' film feels like a glorified music video for The Weeknd's new album of the same name. The pop star plays a version of himself, connecting with a troubled young woman on the run (Jenna Ortega) for a night of deep emotional truths -- or so she thinks.
