THE INNOCENT | Netflix Series Review | #S03E84 The story of The Innocent revolves around Mateo. Nine years ago, he got into a fight and unintentionally became a murderer. After serving his sentence, he intends to start his life over with Olivia, whom he married. However, he receives a call on Olivia's cell phone during a trip. This call ends up stirring Mateo's pride, and he needs to embark on a frantic search to find out what is really happening. Unfortunately for him, his innocence will be put to the test again, now by an investigator named Lorena, who is working on a case involving a mysterious suicide. This series is directed by Oriol Paulo, whose name you may not recognize, but he was responsible for one of the great Spanish successes on Netflix: in this case, the 2018 film During the Storm, which was one of the first successful videos we made here on the channel.
