Celebrating the longest night of the year in Iran(Yalda) | Ancient Iranian celebration

Hello my dear friends 👋 The last day of autumn in Iran has always been celebrated, danced, and gathered together since ancient times. This special celebration is called Shab Cheleh or Shab Yalda. On this night that is one minute longer than any other day of the year,Iranians gather together on this night, eat watermelon, pomegranates, and traditional sweets, and recite the poems of Hafez. This Iranian celebration is very popular and it is very enjoyable to be with family. In this video we cooked beets and pumpkin and I made two traditional Iranian sweets.
