The first installment in the franchise was released on March 9, 1999, for the Nintendo 64. The goal of the game is to collect the most stars, which can be earned with coins from blue tiles or won in mini-games, and become a superstar. The dice shows the numbers 1 to 10, and various items influence the gameplay just like the event tiles. If you pass the Koopa Bank, you have to deposit money; if you land directly on the bank, you get all the money you collected paid out. The sequel, Mario Party 2, was released on October 12, 2000, greatly optimized the gameplay and added new modes. The third entry was released on September 3, 2001, and for the first time featured a curious story mode and a variety of items. Mario Party 3 also introduced Daisy and Waluigi to a wider audience as playable characters and was the last Mario Party and one of the last games for the Nintendo 64 before it was replaced by the Nintendo GameCube. Mario Party 4 was released for the Nintendo 64 on November 29, 2002, replacing the Koopa Bank with a lottery and introducing a story mode heavily influenced by Party Mode. Mario Party 5, released on December 5, 2003, marked the first major changes since Mario Party 2. The story mode was altered again and now relied on mini-games that players had to win against Bowser's Mini Bowser on slimmed-down party boards, without stars. Furthermore, the entire item system was overhauled. Item shops had to close, and capsule machines were installed. Capsules are the new items; they can be used by themselves or thrown onto a field to transfer the respective effect to that field. While this was very creative and offered many new tactical options, it also made the overall overview of the game less clear. โœ’ MORE DATA: โ–ช TITLE: Mario Party 5 โ–ช DEVELOPER: Hudson Soft โ–ช PUBLISHER: Nintendo โ–ช SYSTEM: Nintendo Gamecube โ–ช GENRE: Party โ–ช OFFICIAL SITE: https://goo.gl/6LHO37 โ–ช GERMANY RELEASE: December 5, 2003 โ–ช METASCORE: 69% โ–ช DOMTENDOS RATING: I'll present the pros and cons in the last part.
