In the promo, we see the group standing on top of the Upside Down tower. The upper layer of the dimension is collapsing inward, closing around the tower itself. Then the screen cuts. We hear Dustin screaming. When the camera comes back, something feels very wrong. Jonathan isn’t there. Mike isn’t there. Will isn’t there. And Steve… is gone. Only Dustin and Nancy remain.
