OVM | Online Voting Machine

A voter can cast a vote from any polling booth to his residential constituency and it is the easiest voting system. Machines/tools used in OVM: Three machines are used in OVM • Identification Tab • Ballot Tab • Server Identification Tab: Identification Tab will be handled/operated by the polling officer, which has an internet connection and two supporting devices. • Thumb Scanner • Iris Scanner These are used for voter identification, acts as a polling agent. Identification tab will identify the voter details and gets the voter constituency ballot paper from the server, which will be displayed in the Ballot Tab. Once the vote is cast, it will send the vote to the server. Ballot Tab: Ballot Tab will be in the polling booth and has two supporting devices. • Fingerprint scanner, to cast a vote • Headphones, listen to candidate details. Ballot tab displays the ballot paper and gives two confirmations before vote casting. Also gives the third confirmation after the vote, and will send the vote details to the server via Identification Tab. Server: The server will be under Election Commission control. It will be huge, but we are showing this as an example • Aadhar details of all the Indians will be in the server, like voter list. • All constituencies and participants list will be in the server, like ballot paper. • Each and every vote will be saved in the server, like a ballot box. The server will send the ballot paper as per the voter’s address and will save the data, once the vote is cast. Securities in OVM: OVM has three types of voter verification • Fingerprint • Iris Scan • Polling officer manual check Also, OVM has three types of vote confirmation • Party logo will be enlarged. • Can listen to the candidate details in the headset. • Checkmark on enlarged party logo after casting the vote with fingerprint, and Web Casting. Highly secured connections will be used for server and internet If a voter doubts his vote, he can check vote at any time either before or after election results. The voter has a chance to check vote in OVM. Note: The person who wants to check their vote, they have to take permission from election commission or court, only then the person can check vote with fingerprint and iris scan in a special booth at election commission office. No person has a chance to check another person’s vote. We cannot share the other security information in public beyond this point. Advantages in OVM: For the Public: • No need to travel long distances to vote. • No need to wait in line at the polling booth. Can cast a vote from anywhere. • No need to search for vote and polling booth. • One person cannot cast other person’s vote, OVM will not accept. • Can check vote at any time. • No need to apply for a vote, it runs as per the aadhar data. • Handicapped, Blind and common people can vote easily with confirmation and without any confusion. • Conflicts will be reduced. • And many more advantages………………………. For Politicians: • No chance of vote missing. • Polling agents are not required. • Polling percentage will increase. • Tampering chances will not be there / No chances for tampering. • Highly secured. • No need to re-poll. • Results will be released within a minute. • No chance for additional/extra votes. • Vote bank/server is safe and protected. • Risk will be reduced. • And many more advantages…………………………………………….. For the Government: • Can conduct assembly and parliament elections all over the nation at a time. • It is more helpful for One India One Election. • One person cannot cast another person’s vote. • One person cannot vote more than once. • Expenses will be reduced, 75% of polling staff expenses will be saved. • 100% counting expenses will be saved, as there is no counting in OVM. • Strong room expenses 100% will be saved. • Can conduct polling is bus stations, Rail Stations, hospitals etc. by tents. • Within a minute, results will be released with full details. • Polling percentage will increase. • No chances of vote missing. • No need to prepare voter lists. • Postal ballots are not required. • A person is eligible to vote from his/her 18th birthday. • Unlimited candidates can participate in one constituency. • Can poll n number of votes in one polling booth. • Can conduct polling in network not available places and electricity not available places. • If one OVM set sends to other countries, the voter can vote from that place to the home country.
