This is a GREAT Christmas cookie! Ginger snap cookies are the essence of Christmas baking! 3/4 cup crisco shortening 4 tbsp molasses 1 egg 1 cup sugar 2 cups all purpose flour 3 tsp baking soda 1 tsp cinnamon 1 tsp ground ginger 1/2 tsp cloves 1 tsp salt extra sugar to roll the cookie dough Preheat oven 350 degrees Combine wet ingredients with dry ingredients. After dough is tacky and together, use a small ice cream scoop. roll round dough into sugar and place on cookie sheet. It makes 24-30 cookies and bake for 9-12 mins. Serve warm.
