Nepal Protest: The Nepalese government banned major social media platforms like YouTube, Facebook, and WhatsApp on September 4, 2025, citing misinformation and fraud. This triggered massive youth-led protests in Kathmandu and other cities, with thousands demanding the ban's reversal and action against corruption. Clashes with police turned deadly, with 19 killed and over 400 injured. Protesters stormed Parliament, set fire to government buildings, and forced the resignation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and other officials.
