🍝🥩🍷 Lardo

🍝🥩🍷 Lardo

My buddy from elementary school is a huge foodie and is also a partner in the new Lardo 2.0. This used to be a boutique sandwich shop and has been reinvigorated into an upscale Italian restaurant. They’ve collaborated with other amazing Toronto chefs and restauranteurs who run some my fav spots in the city like Giulietta and Bar Prima. We were fortunate enough to attend the soft open to experience what Lardo is all about!   Seafood Tower Scallop Crudo Mushroom Aranicin Bitter Salad Roasted Potatoes Broccolini Focaccia Cavatelli w Guanciale Flat Iron Steak Chicken Cotoletta Tiramisu   AMBIANCE: Upscale, polished, giving Italian white marble vibes with some chill rustic energy too   FOOD & PRICES:  This was an event so prices vary. I enjoyed the food, approachable kinda rustic. The hallmark of Italian cooking is high quality ingredients, keeping it simple, delicious and they did that.    DRINKS & COCKTAILS: Extensive bar, clear ice is always a great sign of a high quality cocktail program, and for those espresso martini or cappuccino people an even better sign is seeing a beauty espresso machine behind the bar.    WOULD WE RETURN:  100% would love to see the formal printed menu and see the restaurant firing on all cylinders   LOCATION 📍 970 College Street, Toronto - On the outskirts of the trendy Little Italy area, could definitely stop by for a cocktail or dinner and explore the vibrant area   NOTES This was the soft open event served family style, take it with a grain of salt this will likely not be the exact same experience when you order off the menu.   🍽️ @lardoto 👨🏻‍🍳 @Cyrus @gp 💅🏻 @brunchbabesto .   .   . #Steak #pasta #italianfood  #toronto #torontofood #foodtoronto #torontofoodie #torontoeats
