A SFxT Gaming SPOTLIGHT on the talented BrayneStorm! ☆☆☆PLAYER INTERVIEW IN DESCRIPTION☆☆☆ 1) What is your real name? Jake Mendez 2) Where are you from? Littlefield, Texas 3) How Old are you? 26 4) What are your hobbies? i work alot so i dont have a whole lot of time to myself but i do like to read and play a little bit of pokemon y.. 5) Whats your top 3 Main Teams in SFxT? I really only have 2 teams my main Vega X yoshi and a team that used to be my main back in vanilla Guile X Vega 6) How long do you practice per day/been playing SFxT? I have been playing since day 1 of vanilla and sfxt has been the framework for my comprehension of fighting games.. i havent been playing alot lately because i have been grinding it out in KI although when i do i have been putting in alot more offline hours with my training partner/brother.. 7) Who is your favorite player/look up to in the FGC that also uses your team? I dont believe there has been any other players who use my exact team that have really been memorable at least.. but i do think up and coming player lilewis who uses yoshimitsu will be a player to keep an eye out for also mad respect for valle who also mains yoshi and consistently places well in tourneys that he attends.. more than any of them tho i look up to infiltration because he always makes sure that no matter who it is giving their opinion aka tier list that it means nothing to a dedicated player.. 8) Do you participate in local tourneys? if so, which was the most memorable? unfortunately there really isnt any local scene where i am, which i am trying to work on but whenever i can i try to travel to any texas events that i can.. i recently placed 2nd at UCC which was a great experience through and through.. i cant really say how i did at absolute battle because the tournament was ran in such an unorganized fashion that by the time it was all said and done it was difficult to even care about it because when it finally came around to play sfxt, all of the players were already highly annoyed/hungry/stressed out from the waiting period.. And its a big disappointment because at that particular tournament we had a collection of probably ALL of the best players in the south ready to do battle.. 9) What is your worst match up and why? well i would say it has been proven a few times that rufus is a bad matchup for me.. midland/odessa area is home to a player by the name of C88 Starwin who consistently proves to be my kryptonite with his crazy rufus gameplay.. beyond that i just hate how broken hwoarang is.. he is a nightmare for vega.. 10) Are you a Pad or Arcade stick player and why? i play on arcade stick because i feel like it pays homage to where i originally found a love for fighting games such as street fighter, tekken, Killer Instinct.. 11) Whats next for you? unfortunately 2014 will be filled with financial obligations but im hoping to be able to make at least 1 or 2 tournament appearances before going to evo in july.. 13) Any shout out you would like to give? More than anybody else, my little brother/training partner who has really been the only immediate support i have had through my time with sfxt.. otherwise i have spent alot of time training with pxg ice, shira aka robatodesu, and the cool kid among many other great players so i feel like i owe alot of my leveling up to those 2 gentlemen along with some of the community.. *Bonus* 1)Why the Gamer Tag? I guess its just really a symbol, personally, as to how i always have somethin brewing in my head, be it personal life or fighting game strat.. 2)Why the combination of your Main team? Blades.. lol.. plus in vanilla i originally, before the game even dropped, wanted to use yoshi and vega as my team since i wanted to use 1 character from each side and i dabbled in a little bit of vega when i messed around with the sf4 series but was discouraged when everyone called yoshi terrible.. it was shortly after release that i just went ahead and switched to guile.. anyways about 2/3 of the way thru vanilla i decided i needed to give yoshi another try so by the time the v.2013 update came around seeing a few useful buffs for yoshi, i was already more than efficient and winning matches.. 3)How can people reach you? @braynestorm on twitter or on my youtube channel- Braynestorm FOLLOW ME:   / akumahmatata
