As I thought about the time change, it seemed like everything was suddenly an hour ahead. Time had moved forward, and there was no way to delay it or get that hour back. That simple moment reminded me of how life itself is moving forward. Time continues on, and none of us can stop it. Each day that passes brings us closer to the return of the Lord Jesus Christ. The thought behind this song is a reminder that we must keep moving forward and be ready, because time is not standing still. Just like the clock moves ahead and we cannot delay it, the coming of Christ is drawing nearer. As the Bible reminds us, we should redeem the time and be prepared, because truly it’s getting later.
