The Dontre Hamilton Case

Dontre Hamilton was shot 14 times by Milwaukee police officer Christopher Manney during a confrontation in downtown Milwaukee's Red Arrow Park on April 30, 2014. Federal prosecutors declined to charge Manney with a crime. Federal prosecutors nationwide declined to pursue civil rights allegations against law enforcement officers 96 percent of the time from 1995-2015, a Tribune-Review investigation found.
