Wrong Way Driver Deadly Car Accident

The Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office has released the identity of a wrong-way driver who caused a double fatal crash on Interstate 85. The accident happened just south of Interstate 285 interchange on Wednesday afternoon. The wrong-way driver was identified as 49-year-old William B. Wright, of Florida. The truck Wright was driving hit another truck pulling a single-wheel trailer. Christopher O'Day, 49, from Canastota, NY, was a passenger in the truck that was hit. He died at the scene. O'Day was a passenger in the truck driven by Gary Tucker, 62. Tucker was being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Truck driver Arnold Gray's dashboard camera caught the wrong-way driver on video before the accident. "I noticed them swerving out of the way, and then I noticed a guy coming dead towards me," said Gray. "I just slowed down and tried to get out of his way and just as soon as he passed me, he went around the curve and lost his life." The accident is the fourth wrong-way driving crash in just two weeks. A wrong-way driver crashed into another car on Highway 316 in Gwinnett County last Friday night.
