AAP MLA Somnath Bharti arrested

The Delhi Police on Thursday arrested Aam Aadmi Party MLA Somnath Bharti for allegedly assaulting security guards of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) during an anti-encroachment exercise on September 9. Mr. Bharti took to Twitter to announce about his arrest. "I am in Hauz Khas police station under arrest in Gautam Nagar kalah," he said. A senior police officer confirmed that Mr. Bharti was arrested in the morning.
