Alice's Adventures in Wonderland

The Joyce is thrilled to open its fall season with the National Ballet of Canada’s performance of Christopher Wheeldon’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and to bring this astonishing piece to New York for the first time. Combining a “scenic spectacle of unprecedented extravagance” with “the extraordinary skill, versatility and spirit of the Canadian dancers” (Los Angeles Times), Wheeldon’s interpretation of Lewis Carroll’s immortal story is a true fantasia of dance. Experiencing this magnificent production on the Koch Theater stage is the perfect way to appreciate the startlingly beautiful sets and costumes by Tony Award winner Bob Crowley and the sublime score by the talented British composer Joby Talbot.
