Wide of Israeli jeeps on street, debris on ground STORYLINE: A Palestinian was shot and killed by Israeli forces during a raid in a village near the West Bank town of Jenin, Palestinian security officials said on Thursday. The Palestinian was not armed and the soldiers were shooting in response to stone throwing during the raid in the village of A-Shuhada, Palestinian security said. The Israeli army spokesman did not immediately comment on the incident. Unconfirmed reports said some Palestinians were injured in the shooting. AP Television filmed wounded Palestinians in hospital in Jenin. In the nearby city of Nablus, the Israeli army conducted house-to-house searches and arrested a member of the Islamic Jihad militant group, the army and Palestinian security said. Israel Radio said the man was the West Bank leader of the group.
