At camp, after over the fire cooking Walleye we hear a mysterious voice that we can’t explain and head off to solo up rapids after a floatplane drop-off the previous day. I eat pemmican for lunch and finally find a place to camp when it’s almost dark and a nasty thunderstorm is moving in. That’s when we realize we’re camped on a bear’s trail in a berry patch.
