Maduro says Venezuela open to talks with the US

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro says his government is ready for serious talks with the US on countering drug trafficking. He has also offered co-operation on oil and migration. Washington has ramped up pressure in recent weeks through sanctions, oil seizures and maritime strikes. Francesco Sassi from the University of Oslo weighs in.
