In simpler terms, kickdown is an intense and dynamic acceleration of the car. We turn on this mode, while the car is moving, by quickly pressing the gas pedal all the way to the floor. The car will react approximately as follows: as we press the gas pedal to the floor, there will be a half-second or a second delay, then the transmission automatically drops one or even two gears down and due to this, intense acceleration is obtained.
