WA State Secretary of State
Our first Election Forum will introduce Secretary of State candidates. The former office-holder, Kim Wyman, resigned to take a position with the Biden administration; Steve Hobbs, a former state senator, was appointed by Governor Inslee to fill the vacancy. The August 2 primary election will decide which two of eight candidates will compete in the November election to serve the remaining two years of a four-year term.
