Brown Butter Fall Rice Krispies Treats 😋 Torte Test Kitchen

This is a super busy time of the year for me, especially this year with two newly-released books out in the world. It also means that I’m traveling quite a bit and don’t have a lot of spare time to bake. That’s why I love these easy, no-bake Brown Butter Fall Rice Krispies Treats. 😋 You can make a batch in a matter of minutes and the toasted nuttiness of the brown butter and the assortment of spices infuse these treats with fall flavor. They store well in an air-tight container, that is if they don’t disappear immediately. Happy baking! Ellie Brown Butter Fall Rice Krispies Treats INGREDIENTS: ½ cup butter (cut into squares) 1 10 oz. package mini marshmallows 1 teaspoon cinnamon ½ teaspoon cloves ½ teaspoon nutmeg 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal Fall-inspired sprinkles DIRECTIONS: Heat butter in a saucepan over medium heat, whisking constantly. Be sure NOT to heat on high as butter will burn. The butter will melt and slowly turn a golden brown color. Remove from heat immediately once browning begins. Pour into a large bowl and mix in spices, followed by 1 cup of marshmallows at a time. Mix marshmallows until they melt, continuing to add more until the entire bag has been incorporated. If marshmallows do not melt completely, transfer to saucepan and heat on low until melted, stirring frequently. Thoroughly mix together Rice Krispies and melted marshmallow mixture in a bowl. Line a 9 x 12 baking pan with parchment paper. Press mixture into the pan with a spatula. Dust with fall sprinkles.
