Good evening and welcome to our Christmas Eve Service! We’ve heard stories of angel visitation throughout Advent, which lead up to this last angel visit. Angels have already spoken with Zechariah, Mary, and Joseph in regards to the coming Jesus, it’s now time to make the final announcement. It doesn’t seem like shepherds would be the first to tell about the birth of Jesus and yet they are exactly the first ones being told and by angels nonetheless. And once again we hear angels proclaim to “Do not be afraid” since obviously they are appearing to be very fearful.
