"Happy New Year" was covered by the A-Teens, released as a single in 2000 to coincide with Y2K. The single was released to celebrate the arrival of the new millennium, which explains the last line in the song's third verse being altered to "in the end of ninety-nine" (as opposed to the original's "in the end of eighty-nine"). The single wasn't released worldwide, only in selected countries. In 2008, it was released again in several countries, and reached the Dutch Top 10 in 2011. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope. ~Martin Luther King, Jr. Once you choose hope, anything's possible. ~Christopher Reeve The miserable have no other medicine but only hope. ~William Shakespeare, Measure for Measure
