baby you know that I won't mind if we get no rest 'til the sunrise . . . apologies for the long blocks of text ahead but I have Feelings so here we are almost exactly TEN YEARS (!!!) after my last video of these two and man, what a journey it's been! I started a tvd rewatch right before quarantine started and it was the best decision I ever made tbh. it's been such a comfort for me, and watching the epic slow burn journey of these two play out was so incredible. they are absolutely the best slow burn ship of all time -- I'll say it! ð back in the day I was shipping them hard ever since 1x16 and I have such fond memories of those early days in their first threads on fanforum, and especially one of the best nights of my shipping life: the night 2x02 aired! somewhere in the middle of season 3 I stopped watching the show regularly, but of course I kept up with these two and when 6x14 aired I remember it felt like a dream, like I couldn't believe they were telling this story that I so desperately had wanted them to tell. I do kind of regret not sticking with the show back then, but I am so thankful to have watched it now. it was a wild ride with so many ups and (so many!) downs, but it's been so fun and honestly I kind of want to rewatch it all from the beginning already! and these two just... I love them more than I ever have before. they make me feel every possible emotion and they've definitely solidified their spot as my #2 otp of all time. ð also I took notes during my rewatch which are basically just me screaming about every steroline moment, so if you're interested in seeing that unfold you can check that out on my tumblr: https://unlikely-alliance.tumblr.com/... about the video: I had started a different video for them when I was watching season 6 that was more focused on the slow burn journey, but after that series finale I needed something sweet and epic for them so I settled on this song (which I've loved since this lovely mileven video by gracieon:    âĒ Mike & Eleven â Chariot. (+S3)  ) and I think it's the perfect fit for them. I've been working on this every chance I've had over the past 2 weeks and it's been so emotional and tiring (like... I've barely slept) but also so rewarding and cathartic. I've re-edited sections more times than I can count because every single scene of theirs has so much to love and is iconic in its own way and I wanted to include it all! but I am so happy with how this turned out. can you tell that the porch scenes from 2x13/6x11 and their first kiss scene from 6x14 are my absolute favorites?!
