Uncharted Drake's Fortune PS4 | Chapter 5 - The Fortress

Uncharted Drake's Fortune Chapter 5: The Fortress Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection PS4 Let's play walkthrough on hard difficulty My aim is to present the gameplay in my playthrough by the in game chapters, to break it into neat sections and give you natural break points.. As such the chapters will be of widely varying lengths, for example this opening one is barely 10 minutes. Others will likely run a more standard 3/4 to 1 hour in length. I intend to replay the entire Uncharted series in their PS4 incarnations, including concluding with The Lost Legacy after Uncharted 4. When re-playing the first Uncharted game you can definitely see it was a new direction for Naughty Dog which they hadn't quite perfected yet. While it still stands up pretty well, it is also very much a work in progress which they'd didn't fully develop until the second game. The usual ND intuitive game design isn't quite there, there are moments where you have no idea where should go next, and have to make a leap of faith possibly to your death to find out. There are numerous moments where the camera is fixed during gameplay, probably partly to feel cinematic, but which feels restrictive at times. The main things not yet present in this game though are the subliminal gameplay hints developed for the second game, which became a ND hallmark, such as colour, animations and framing are used to guide the player. ------------------ Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is a 2007 action adventure game developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. It is the first game in the Uncharted series, and was released in November 2007 for PS3. It was released in remastered form for PS4 in 2009 as part of the Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, which is the version I am playing here. Combining action-adventure and platforming elements with a third-person perspective, the game follows Nathan Drake, the supposed descendant of the explorer Sir Francis Drake, as he seeks the lost treasure of El Dorado, with the help of journalist Elena Fisher and older friend and mentor Victor “Sully” Sullivan. Extensively marketed as a PlayStation exclusive, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune received generally favourable reviews from critics, many of whom cited its technical achievements, voice acting, characters, story, musical score, attention to detail and its high production values, similar to that of summer blockbuster films, though some were critical of the graphical issues, length, vehicle sections, and marked difficulty. The game went on to sell one million copies after its first ten weeks of release, and helped propel Naughty Dog to the forefront as a video game developer. It was followed by a sequel titled Uncharted 2: Among Theives in 2009, Uncharted 3: Among Thieves in 2011 first released on PS3, and finally Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End in 2016 first released on PS4. A further game entitled Uncharted: The Lost Legacy was released on PS4 in 2017. Initially intended as Uncharted 4 DLC, it developed into a full separate game in it’s own right. Unlike the main series, it starred popular side character Chloe Frazer, along with U4 antagonist turned accomplice Nadine Ross.
