The Song: Steal Away" is a song by American singer Robbie Dupree, from his 1980 debut album Robbie Dupree. Released as the first single from the album, it became his biggest hit, peaking at No. 6 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and No. 5 on the Adult Contemporary chart. We covered this in a Yacht Rock band that I played in and I always loved the groove of this song, it seemed to go over well every time we played it. It is written in the key of Dmaj and carried by keyboards throughout the song. The Video: My methodology is recording all the guitar tracks in Pre Sonus-Studio One, editing. mixing and mastering in the tool, the shooting the video on my iPhone, exporting it to my desktop and into DaVinci Resolve for editing and video sync. The Equipment: The equipment I used on this video was a Fender American Deluxe Telecaster played through a Fractal Audio FXIII directly into Studio One.
