Christmas Eve | Parasite Eve || || December 24, 2025

Streamed on December 24, 2025 ============================ Parasite Eve is Mitochondria. Everything is Mitochondria, even _YOU_. More seriously, Parasite Eve is a game about... I mean, Mitochondria. That's just the entire driving force behind this game, it's basically a massive meme surrounding it. We've played this game on a Wheel Stream in the past, so the basics are as follows: You play as Aya Brea, a woman who has been thrust into horrifying events when she's the only survivor of a terrible disaster centered around an opera singer. None of this makes sense out of context, and that's ok! This game's story is _bonkers_, and I absolutely love it. It feels very dated in most places, but the writing is so fun and goofy, I just can't not love it. The gameplay is a really interesting spin on a turn-based RPG where you can wander around the battlefield as your turn gets prepared, dodging enemy attacks and repositioning yourself for optimal turns. So far, the Equipment system is probably my favorite part of the game. Basically, you can feed your equipment to your other equipment to transfer over stat bonuses and abilities. It has a lot of nuance and a ton of potential. Unlike your traditional JRPG, fights seem to be rather limited. They're still encountered in a way that feels random, but they seem to have the ability to run out, meaning that if you're relying on farming drops or EXP for levels to get stronger, don't. I wouldn't recommend it. However, it does let you feel like you're clearing an area out of its delicious goodies, which I can appreciate! Some of the combat is crushingly difficult, and you'll watch your health drop like a stone, but winning feels so _satisfying_. The gunplay, the strategy, the maneuvering, it all works so well! I have genuinely had such a fun time with this game, and I'm dying to know what happens next. The Mitochondria Lives Three Big Thumbs Up ============================ My Twitch:   / lofilady
