Donkey Kong Country 3: Part 5: Murky Mill

Donkey Kong Country 3: Part 5: Murky Mill

Another mill level, and this one is pretty dark. On top of that gimmick, there's another one: You're mostly Ellie throughout this level, and as an elephant she is deathly afraid of mice (or rats). If she spots a Sneek, she'll oink a pig and run away! However, this is only even the Sneeks are under lights, which makes them easier to see. You can kill them up close with Ellie in the dark, but in the light, you'll have to make her attack them from a distance with barrels. Remember that normal barrels in this game now break after hitting an enemy, instead of rolling through them like in the prequels. The Koin & DK Coin of this level are at 2:07, where you have to pick up a Steel Barrel and throw it over a wall to let it bounce back and hit the Koin from behind. ---------- Here are the two Bonuses of this level: The first Bonus Barrel is at 1:20, where you can pick up a Steel Keg from the right of the Buzz to kill it with and then drop through the trapdoor. This Bonus has you Bash The Baddies: Four more Buzzes above with respawning barrels. The second Bonus Barrel is at around 3:00, where you just simply move to the left after an downwards elevator, and then use Ellie's trunk to grab yet another Steel Barrel from a distance and drop it on the Buzz guarding the Bonus Barrel. This Bonus has you Find The Coin, while this time avoiding the Buzzes. ---------- After this level, I get to go to Swanky's Sideshow for the first time. In this game Swanky hosts carnival games of hitting Kremling targets under different rules. And your opponent for all of these games is none other than Cranky Kong! He is quite cocky in these matches, but he can get pretty salty when he loses! Now here are the rules of each of Swanky's games: Head to Head's goal is to hit enough targets so that the red circle reaches your Kong's head. If it's right below your head, one more hit before Cranky's will net you the win. Race To 25 is just as it says. Get 25 points before Cranky does or before time runs out! Endurance is also just as it says. You keep playing until one of you misses. You will instantly lose if you either miss a target, or if the target leaves before you can hit it. So in other words, just keep hitting targets until Cranky slows down! Each game costs 2 Bear Coins to play, but completely winning the game will give you 4 Bear Coins back, as well as 40 Bananas. I just go ahead and play all three of these games every time I reach this tent on a map, not just to stock up on Bear Coins, but also because I wanna read the different things Cranky will have to say to you for beating him.
