Can androids ever think and feel like humans? And what is it that makes us human, as opposed to "mere" machines? It´s the year 2038, to a world that has grown accustomed to the presence of androids on the streets. They work as street sweepers, assistants... even for sexual purposes. At first, they seemed confined to mere maintenance tasks, but their efficiency has led them to take on more and more roles, leaving an increasing number of humans unemployed. Advertisements sell them as the ultimate convenience for humanity, but tensions in society are rising steadily. In this context, we step into the roles of Connor, Markus, and Kara, the three android protagonists: Connor is an elite android created to assist law enforcement in investigations and crime prevention. Soon, he partners with a once-brilliant but now disgraced detective to uncover the truth behind a wave of murders committed by androids. Kara is a domestic android recently "reactivated" and returned to a decrepit home to care for her drug-addicted owner and his young daughter. It seems she shared a bond with the child before a mysterious "accident" left her damaged. Markus is the assistant of a wheelchair-bound painter, helping him rediscover his artistry while grappling with doubts about his own identity and purpose. Each of them will soon face pivotal choices that will determine not only their fates but also the future of a society where androids coexist with humans who largely reject and exploit them.
