Homemade Beef Burrito Bowl (with pantry ingredients) Rice base: • 1 cup white rice • 1 small shallot (finely chopped) • 1 tbsp butter • ½ tsp salt • ½ tsp garlic powder • 1 tbsp ketchup • 2–3 tbsp canned chopped tomato • 1¾ cup water How to make: 1. Add rice, shallot, and butter 2. Season with salt and garlic powder 3. Stir in ketchup and chopped tomatoes 4. Pour in water and cook until ready ⸻ Beef topping: • ½ lb (225 g) ground beef • ½ white onion (diced) • 1 packet taco seasoning mix (or to taste) • Splash of water How to make: 1. Cook onion in a pan until soft. 2. Add ground beef and cook until browned. 3. Stir in taco seasoning and a splash of water. Simmer until well coated and flavorful. ⸻ Toppings: • Chopped red onion • Kidney beans (drained) • Corn kernels • Sliced green onion • Shredded iceberg lettuce ⸻ To assemble: 1. Add a scoop of tomato butter rice to a bowl. 2. Top with the seasoned beef. 3. Add red onion, kidney beans, corn, green onion, and lettuce. 4.
