Modus Ponens and Modus Tollens (Rules of Inference)

Hello and welcome!! :) Today we introduce Modus Ponens and Modus Tollens. Modus Ponens or Modus Ponens, which in Latin means the way that affirms, is a rule of inference in Logic that will help you make a valid argument. And it is written like this, in three propositions: If P, then Q You have P Therefore, you have Q Now for an example: Biology studies life, so it studies the cells of all living beings. If you have that biology studies life, Then you will have that it studies the cells of living beings. On the other hand, Modus Tollens or Modus Tollendo Tollens is another rule of inference that in Latin means the way that negating negates. And it has the following form, the same in three propositions, premises, and conclusion: If P then Q You don't have Q Then you don't have P For example, You have to eat if you're hungry You're not hungry Therefore, you don't have to eat So, these two rules of inference help you derive a conclusion from given premises and argue correctly.
