Enhance respiration with vital capacity laughter. Breathe in towards your chest and laugh to the max

Health Benefit: LY increases breathing capacity. Inhaling to the max then laughing until one runs out of breath gives the lungs the best possible exercise because the lungs are expanding to the fullest capacity. This is called “vital capacity”. Breathing is neato in that it’s automatic and happens subconsciously yet it is something we can control and regulate. Different ways to control breathing: taking a slow deep breath, singing, or voluntarily laughing. The normal automatic breath averages 0.5 liters of air on the flow. Laughter allows up to 1.5 liters of air to exit the lungs on the exhale. Laughter and deep breathing rid lungs of residual air not emptied during normal breathing. This is important because exhaling longer than we inhale forces out stale air containing carbon dioxide that would normally be chillen in the lungs. Residual air is then replaced with fresh air containing oxygen. I am posting daily short videos highlighting a health benefit of LY along with a laughter exercise. The mind-body benefits of LY are immeasurable. There's physical, mental, emotional, & physiological benefits of 10-15 minutes of mindful laughter each day.
