Just added this Victorian real human Odd Fellows medical skeleton to our Death Museum collection. These skeletons were used in Odd Fellows ceremonies where a new member joining the organization would be lead into a darkened room blindfolded and placed in front of this casket not knowing what was going on. The blindfold would then be removed and the new member would be staring into the casket at the skeleton and then another member would tell him all men are mortal and one day you will be dead like this skeleton so do good with the life you have left.
