What is Weeding? | Harvesting of crops | Class 8 NCERT Science Ch 1 Crop Production and Management In this video, I have explained how to protect the crop from weeds and how harvesting is done. Weeds are the unwanted plants that grow with our crops. They inhibit the growth of crops so weeding is done manually by using a khurpi or seed drill or by ploughing method. Harvesting is done when the crops mature and they are harvested using a sickle or by harvester. Harvest festivals are celebrated after harvesting is done in different regions as Bihu Pongal Baisakhi etc. The syllabus is strictly based on NCERT & CBSE.
