A lovely coincidence in my experiments on Youtube! Please make sure you turn on the subtitles if you want to see the English meanings of the lyrics. :-) This is my entry to the Ekam Satt World Music League competition! One version of this song has been rendered by MS Subbulakshmi in Mukhari, however, I've taken the most popular version (thanks, Amma!) and tried to make it my own. I was surprised to see how divided the community seems to be about the details of the songs - whether the Raga is Bhairavi or Mukhari, what exactly the lyrics are. Hence, a very typical Dewika style non-traditional ending. ;) Original Inspiration(s) for my version: Lyrics: Shri Raghavendra Swami Music: Rajan-Nagendra Singer(s): P. B. Sreenivas / S. Janaki In movie(s): Mantralaya Mahatme / Eradu Kanasu Raga: Bhairavi/Mukhari Tala: Khanda Chapu This is my laptop microphone (unfortunately) so there are a lot of voice variations. My camera mic created a weird noise, so please bear with the quality! Camera: Canon EOS M50 Editors: Lightworks / Audacity
