Sona Bari, WHO's External Relations Coordinator For Polio Eradication, explains the impact of Covid pandemic on the fight against Polio. The Covid pandemic led to an immunity gap in the fight against polio but the gap is now being refiled as vaccination got restarted, she said. "In late 2020, we took measures to make sure that we could vaccinate with precautionary measures so as not to spread Covid-19, and we restarted vaccination. We are now rebuilding, filing that immunity gap," she said.
