This system consists of the following: 1. Lymph vessels 2. Lymph capillaries 3. Lymph The lymph capillaries are present all over in the blood like blood capillaries but they are blunt from one end. These capillaries unite together to form lymph vessels. In lymph vessels, at certain places, lymph nodes are present which consist of lymphocytes that function like white blood cells. In these vessels the lymph fluid flows. The functions of lymph are: 1. It carries digested and absorbed fat from the intestine. 2. It drains the excess fluid from the extracellular space back into the blood.
