But in the Gaza strip, Israeli and Palestinian security forces were cooperating, conducting an unusual joint exercise near a Jewish settlement in the Gaza Strip, practising their reactions to bomb attacks. Meanwhile, students at a girls' school in Gaza protested against aid cutbacks by the from a United Nations relief agency UNRWA. They fear the cutbacks will end free education and many health services for those already hard hit by the current Israeli clampdown.
