No longer do you have your parents to force feed you vegetables, and you can finally eat oreos at all times of the day with no judgement (I definitely did). But here are some tactics to avoid that infamous freshman 15 (if you are worried about that). It is also important to be comfortable and confident with who you are though! Yet, it is important to keep health in mind during your college years, even if you were blessed with a fast metabolism and good genes (lucky). In this video, I give you 3 (+ a bonus tip) easy health tips that helped me on my health journey throughout college. For those new to the channel, I just recently graduated from ucsd with a degree in mathematics-computer science. As a computer science major, I know how easy it is to spend hours in front of the computer, whether that's finishing a programming assignment or playing world of warcraft. It is always important to get up and exercise consistently in order to stay physically and mentally healthy. Combined with a good diet and sleep pattern, you can be sure you will be dialed in for your next exam! *Note: I want to be clear that I am far from a health expert, and these are just minor health tips that don't require too much discipline that helped me feel healthier. If you are serious about making a health change in your life consider first talking to your primary care provider, nutritionist or dietitian. Also, always remember to be comfortable and confident in who you are, no matter your physical appearance! I also suggest combining these tips with a consistent exercise routine, a good sleep pattern, healthy eating and a strong emotional support network to truly feel at the top of your game. As some context, between my freshman year of college and my senior year of college at ucsd, I lost approximately 45-50lbs. I tried to outline some easy health practices to implement as a college student, but anyone you ask will give their own college health tips that worked for them. I hope these tips help you feel healthier! Comment down below any of your college health tips and shoutout to the DM that suggested I make this video!
