COVID-19 cases are rising among kids

The COVID-19 cases in kids are on the rise. And the head of the CDC says, unvaccinated people shouldn't travel over Labor Day weekend. CDC Director Rochelle Walesnkey is basically saying things are trending in the wrong direction and we are battling a surge in hospitalizations due to the delta variant and again - like we've been saying - mostly unvaccinated people. The transmission is so high and people need to take their own risks into considersation if they want to travel. Another recommendation - those of you who are vaccinated, should wear a mask. Right now 53 percent of Cuyahoga county residents are fully vaccinated. But that doesn't include anyone 11 and under and the delta variant continues to surge in the state. And a UH covid expert and scientist tells me we are looking at case numbers like we had in December and January - he calls it frightening. The state is seeing an increase in new cases among kids 17 and under - as of yesterday, accounting for almost 28 percent of all cases so far this week.
