Lara and Jonah Maiava eventually, stumble upon Paititi, a hidden city untouched by modern civilization. Here, Lara meets Unuratu, the rightful queen of Paititi, who leads a rebellion against Amaru (Dominguez) and his Trinity-backed Cult of Kukulkan. Lara learns that the Silver Box of Ix Chel is hidden within the city, but if Trinity uses it in their ritual, they could reshape reality itself. Lara immerses herself in Paititi’s culture, disguising herself in traditional attire to explore the city. She undertakes dangerous tomb challenges, gaining the trust of the rebels while uncovering more about the Mayan apocalypse prophecy.
