My new smartphone – I've had it for a few days now, the Xiaomi Mi 15 Ultra with Photo Kit. I bought it myself and paid for it myself. Yes, I treated myself. After 5 years with Samsung and 7 years with Sony, it was time to switch providers. What motivated me was that this smartphone is considered to have the best camera on the market and that the price has dropped by €500 since March 2025. Yes, it's a Chinese product. But is there a German product in this category? After all, the camera is "quasi-Leica," meaning lenses with Leitz quality. That's something, isn't it? So, I've been using it for a few days now and trying to get to grips with it. And I can tell you, it's not easy to quickly grasp such a high-quality and highly specialized device. This video certainly shows many of the things you can use the smartphone for. But it also shows that I'm far from perfect at using the device, or rather, its camera, properly. So please bear with me! And if you want to know the strengths and weaknesses of this technology in detail, there are better and more comprehensive videos on YouTube where you can find this information. Personally, I'm thrilled, and after my Samsung S20+, it's a worthy successor and a significant improvement for my photography and YouTube activities.
