Meanwhile, it's been almost a year since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v Wade. Democrats have been trying to chip away at the ruling and are even proposing measures that go beyond the court's decision. Their latest bill seeks to codify access to birth control. And amid strained relations between the United States and China, Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with President Xi Jinping. At the Great Hall of the People in Beijing the Secretary of State shook hands with the Chinese President, as they pledged to stabilize their badly deteriorated ties. Finally this evening, lawmakers in California have advanced a measure that would make it illegal for a parent to speak out against their child's desire to change genders.
