Line 6 Helix LT - No Amp Block?!?! Legendary Drive Patch Walkthrough & Demo

Fast forward to 6:05 if you'd like to hear a quick demo of the Stereo vs. Mono tone before watching the tutorial. I found (accidentally) that the Legendary Drive distortion block in the Helix sounds really good without an amp block! After looking into it, I believe the "Legendary Drive" pedal is modeled after the Carvin Legacy amp that Stevie Vai played with for a while. The reason I created this video was because I had a few requests after posting a quick demo on Facebook to help others create a similar sound. Also, I demonstrate a creative way to make a guitar tone sound HUGE with a stereo/double tracking-like signal path. I recorded the Helix direct into my iPhone with the camera adapter and I used a Charvel DK24 to create the patch. Enjoy!
