Biography of Prophet Ayyub (A.S.) Prophet Ayyub (peace be upon him), known as Job in the Bible, was one of the great prophets of Allah. He is famous for his extraordinary patience, faith, and gratitude during severe trials. His story is mentioned in the Qur’an and is a powerful lesson for all humanity. Prophet Ayyub (A.S.) was a very wealthy and righteous man. Allah blessed him with large property, livestock, servants, and a loving family. He always thanked Allah and helped the poor. Because of his strong faith, Allah tested him with great hardships. Over time, Prophet Ayyub (A.S.) lost his wealth, children, and health. He suffered from a severe illness for many years. Despite these hardships, he never complained or lost faith in Allah. He remained patient and continued to worship Allah sincerely. During his illness, Prophet Ayyub (A.S.) made a humble prayer to Allah: “Indeed, adversity has touched me, and You are the Most Merciful of the merciful.” (Qur’an 21:83) Allah accepted his prayer and commanded him to strike the ground with his foot. A spring of water appeared, and when he washed and drank from it, he was completely cured. Allah restored his health, wealth, and family and blessed him even more than before. Prophet Ayyub (A.S.) is remembered as a symbol of patience (Sabr) and unwavering faith. His life teaches us to trust Allah in difficult times and remain thankful in ease and hardship.
